Comparison

GoBuild vs
Procore

These two are not really competing for the same job. Procore is enterprise construction software. If you are a residential builder running a handful of jobs, the interesting question is whether you need it at all.

Who Procore is for

Let's be straight about it.

Procore is built for commercial and enterprise construction — general contractors, owners and developers managing large project portfolios, with the compliance and coordination that comes with them. If you are running commercial work at volume, it is the category standard and this comparison is not for you.

Pricing model

GoBuild: One plan, every feature included. Monthly or annual. Quoted per business.

Procore: Quote-based, priced on Annual Construction Volume. Annual contracts, with multi-year options. Unlimited users.

How you start

GoBuild: Book a demo — the account is configured for your trades and price book

Procore: Contact sales for a quote — no free trial listed on the pricing page

Where the two differ

Procore prices on Annual Construction Volume — the total dollar value of construction you put through it — under an annual contract, with pricing quoted through sales rather than published. That model is built for companies whose volume justifies it. GoBuild is one plan for a business that runs jobs, not a portfolio.

The Canadian side

Procore serves Canadian commercial construction. For a residential builder doing custom homes and renovations, the mismatch is usually scale and cost rather than capability — and Canadian residential specifics like statutory holdback on a homeowner contract are not what an enterprise platform is optimised around.

Common questions

Is Procore too big for a residential builder?

Usually, yes — and that is not a criticism of Procore. It prices on annual construction volume under an annual contract, which is a model built for companies running large portfolios. A builder doing a handful of custom homes a year is buying a great deal of capability they will not use.

Does Procore publish its prices?

No. As of September 2026 the pricing page explains the model — annual construction volume, annual contract, unlimited users — and routes you to sales for a number.
