Most construction software sold in Canada is built for the United States and priced in US dollars. GoBuild is built for Canadian residential construction specifically, and handles requirements that US-first products generally do not:
- Statutory holdback — tracked on contracts and draws, with over- and under-billing visible in work-in-progress reporting.
- GST/HST — including tax on progress billing and partial invoices.
- WSIB and WCB — clearance and compliance tracking for subcontractors.
- Provincial variation — the rules differ between Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, and the software reflects that.
Pricing
GoBuild sells one plan that includes every feature — there are no tiers, no per-feature upsells and no paid add-ons to unlock core functionality. Billing is monthly or annual, and annual costs less.

Common questions
Is GoBuild Canadian?
Yes. It is built and operated in Canada for Canadian contractors, and it also serves the United States.
How is it different from Jobber?
Jobber is field service management aimed primarily at home service and trade businesses, sold in US dollars. As of September 2026 its published pricing is USD-only with no Canadian currency option, and it has tiered plans with features gated by tier. GoBuild is aimed at residential construction — jobs with budgets, draws, change orders and holdback — and sells a single plan with everything included.
How is it different from Buildertrend or Procore?
Buildertrend targets a similar residential builder audience; Procore is enterprise and commercial construction software. GoBuild is positioned below both on price and complexity, for contractors who want one system they can run themselves without an implementation project.
Is there a free trial?
GoBuild is demo-led rather than self-serve trial. Accounts are configured for the business — its trades, price book and phone setup — before use. Start at gobuild.ca/demo.
Does it replace accounting software?
No. GoBuild handles estimating, job costing, invoicing and payments on the job side. It is not a general ledger and does not file taxes.
